I have my IFR stage check ground tomorrow and I am not to sure what I need to know for it, the grounds I’ve done were instruments, FARs and autopilot, what should I study for the stage check?

So you get the job at 500hrs. How does this SIC time look for regional/legacy, and ATP requirements. when you hit 1500hrs?

This is a bit of specific question... but a physician I am in touch with outside of my health insurance network is recommending me to take "enclomiphene citrate" as an off label form of mild testosterone replacement therapy instead of sticking syringes in myself every week for life. I called AOPA for advice and their expert had never heard of it and just gave me a generic "I dunno but stay away from it I guess." Which... wasn't super helpful.
I know that typical testosterone replacement therapy is no issue for FAA medicals, and hormonal medication is perfectly fine on the female side al a bir ..read more

I was practicing accuracy landings and I ended up looking short on a power-off 180. During the float, I was trying to hold off as long as possible in an attempt to make my point and ended up hitting the tail skid just before touching down. My instructor and I checked the tail skid out during the post-flight and it isn’t bent as far as we could tell but obviously had some scrapes on it. We’re pretty sure maintenance will inspect it and send it back out without issue. Still, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was a little upset with myself. Especially considering I am already a commercial pilot wor ..read more

Is there any flight schools that are similar to the emirates flight training academy in the sense of it being an academy with links to airlines it may be a dumb question but I was just curious what they are and what you think of them.

Looking to see if anyone has any gouge on R-ATP for Mil. Has anyone put an app in at Envoy/Skywest, etc.? Gotten a call quickly? I may have to end up doing this, and don’t know the environment for Mil R-ATP at the regionals right now.

I feel as though I don’t actually know the answers to the questions. I’m worried that when I go take the actual exam and the wording is different I won’t know the answers. I have a good memory but I feel like I’m cursed with it in this situation. I’ll start to read a problem, and know that it’s the 3rd answer for example without finishing the question or even reading the answer I just know that it’s the 3rd. I just remember that it’s the 3rd since sportys doesn’t shuffle the order of the answers on each problem. I’ve tried reading and understanding every question I just can’t help but fe ..read more

I’m going to take a break from my flight school. However when I’m ready to resume training again, I will possibly be changing my flight school to another one. Questions is, do I have to tell them? Is there any procedures I have to go through? Will this impact anything?

Hello! I’m currently a mechanical engineering student at Boise State. I noticed that some schools near me like Utah State offer professional pilot degrees that give you a liscence and kinda lead you into the field. I was wondering if anyone’s heard of any masters programs like that across the country? I would love to pursue that after my bachelor’s.
