I’ve had my roof awning mounted on my roof rack for about a year now and finally used it this weekend on a trip up to Stanley idaho with my twin brother. It rained for most of our time up there so the awning was a life saver. The roof rack worked awesome for holding our firewood also. Sadly, Stanley has a camp fire ban right now so we weren’t able to use it, but the cargo net and rack worked awesome holding everything in place. Been taking the pilot “off road” as of late. Inclines, ruts, rocks, VTM4 lock all combined with very low vehicle speed has been torture on the transmission. “AT temp high” indicator light has been triggered twice. Both times I’ve changed out the AT within a day or two. I’ve recently added another AT cooler in line with the stock unit. Hopefully, this will reduce the temp so I won’t see that dreaded high AT temp light any longer. Will update when I go out again... 2012 Honda pilot overheating AT ..read more
