Repost: Jupiter lines

This post will be released Monday morning, but I’m writing on Saturday morning. I’m going in for open-heart surgery this afternoon. (Things have been moving very fast.) This is an urgent case and so I’m very grateful I’m here because they really know what they’re doing. And, I had open heart surgery 19 years ago so I know what to expect, although this time it’ll be more invasive. I’m going through the two malefics and the two benefics, per Maren Altman, and her take on astrocartography. She reminds us: In a day chart, Mars lines are malefic lines. In a night chart, Saturn lines are malef ..read more

I have been admitted to the hospital and they figured out that I have a blood infection. I’ll be here in the hospital until all the bacteria are out of my blood, per the blood cultures. Then I will be self-administering antibiotics for a while longer. I’m going through the two malefics and the two benefics, per Maren Altman, and her take on astrocartography. She reminds us: In a day chart, Mars lines are malefic lines. In a night chart, Saturn lines are malefic lines. In a day chart, Jupiter lines are benefic lines. In a night chart, Venus lines are benefic lines. She does say that she ..read more

Repost: Saturn lines

This will be another repost. This is basically my 7th day of being not well. My fever comes and goes and has been as high as 101.8. This is something chronic and the doctor I saw via telemedicine yesterday afternoon said that this was serious and I definitely need to be seen. My friend suggests that it might be an abscess, somewhere in my body (other than headaches, I don’t feel any pain). I’m going through the two malefics and the two benefics, per Maren Altman, and her take on astrocartography. She reminds us: In a day chart, Mars lines are malefic lines. In a night chart, Saturn lines are ..read more

Repost: Mars Lines

I am running a 101 degree fever so needless to say this will be a repost. However, I’m specifically doing the Mars Lines posting because, watching Maren Altman explain her take on astrocartography(as I did a few months ago) is helpful to my own knowledge. She has tons of energy and is hard to compete with. What she has to say about benefic planets and malefic planets are as follows: In a day chart, Mars lines are malefic lines. In a night chart, Saturn lines are malefic lines. In a day chart, Jupiter lines are benefic lines. In a night chart, Venus lines are benefic lines. She does say that ..read more

Generational planets, yet again
Relocation Astrology
by David Muir

Please refer to my posts on September 29 and especially, May 12 of last year for more of this talk about generational planets. Especially since those pages have the interpretations of Neptune and Pluto in each relevant sign.  But I’ll review. Because Neptune and Pluto are such slow-moving planets, Neptune spends approximately 14 years in each sign, while Pluto, being highly elliptical, spends between 11 and 31 years in each sign.  Pluto, actually, recently had its shortest periods in the signs Libra (1971/72-1983) and Scorpio (1983-1995).  The periods for Sagittarius and Caprico ..read more

To what degree has relocation astrology ‘made it’ ?
Relocation Astrology

We do know that relocation astrology is trending. When I was getting ready to start my blog, I was in discussion with Aria Gmitter, who edits YourTango.com and has made it a very popular publication, so she knows what things have the potential to become popular. She did a bunch of internet searches, found some sites, analyzed them and told me that I was well positioned to take care of the relocation astrology boom which was likely to come in the next few years (I think she said three, but my memory of that is fuzzy). That is, if I started now. That was in January or February 2020. So I started ..read more

Personology extended to all of the planets
Relocation Astrology
by David Muir

Personology, an astrological endeavor that first saw the light of day in the early-mid 1990s, has easily become part of the canon of astrological subgroupings, and its founder, the late Gary Goldscheider, did decades of astrological research to come up with his ‘system’, as I’ve alluded to before. Personology divides the zodiac into 48 periods, instead of 12. You have Pisces-Aries cusp, Aries I, Aries II, Aries III, Aries-Taurus cusp, Taurus I, etc. This new type of division, borne out both by his own research as well as the reaction of anyone who read the book for themselves and realized how ..read more

Repost: What is your tolerance for picking up and starting over?
Relocation Astrology

This is an interesting story for those of you who like to read memoirs. I have spent time — in the past, entire weekends and many of them — writing my story. I haven’t written as much about the recent past — by that I mean from 2012 onward — even though the last nine years were in many ways the most interesting time of my life. There is some information about ‘how to be a good relocation astrologer’ in this article — in other words, meet the client where they’re at. Some clients have a tolerance to relocate anywhere in the world. Some clients are apprehensive about leaving the town they’d live ..read more

When I first got here
Relocation Astrology

A lot of people chase jobs to other places, although with trends toward working remotely maybe that won’t happen as much. I’m too free a spirit for that, and, as described extensively on my page, I did 9 months of soul searching from a visit in 2015 to moving in 2016, leaving in early May. I drove three days from Pittsburgh to Boulder and brought my cat, Miranda, with me. It is not easy getting a cat through three days of driving, but it is not easy to get a cat on a plane, either, and I’m doing that in several weeks. What you don’t know, I don’t think, is where I stayed to begin my trip. I ha ..read more

A Davison chart, explained
Relocation Astrology
by David Muir
3y ago
My first client presented to me recently the situation she had of wanting to do a relocation astrology reading with her husband — together as a unit. This is a challenging situation for an astrologer to deal with, but it IS possible to do this kind of chart. It’s called a Davison chart, and it has a number of guidelines. To begin with, it is NOT a composite chart. A composite chart just takes the two positions for each planet and averages them. So if one person has a planet at 0 degrees Cancer and another has a planet at 0 degrees Sagittarius, the composite has the planet at 15 degrees Virgo ..read more
