•Rev. Lawrence C. Roberts born in Newark, NJ, August 1936. He had a love for Gospel Music at an early age. By age eleven, he played for his first choir, at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Newark, NJ.  He attended the Newark Public School System, graduating from its prestigious Arts High School. •1953, Lawrence Roberts became the "first" Black Gospel Record Company Producer in the country.
