BATON ROUGE — The LSU Tigers snapped a three-game losing skid on Tuesday night with a 6-3 victory on Tuesday over the visiting University of New Orleans Privateers.
The Tigers have won 14 of the last 17 meetings with the Privateers.

The LSU Tigers softball team defeated the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 4-2 inside Tiger Park in Baton Rouge on Tuesday night. The victory moves LSU to 34-8 and the loss moves UL to 29-15.

The 2024 LSU Spring Game took place on Saturday afternoon in Tiger Stadium as the self-proclaimed “Cathedral of College Football” celebrates its 100th anniversary.

Sixth-ranked LSU welcomed one of the other Tigers in the SEC to Tiger Park as Auburn came to town for a three-game series including the annual Teal Game. LSU’s defense had two major errors that eventually gave Auburn the victory.

Auburn got on the board in the top of the third inning when KK McCray hit a single followed by a Makayla Packer walk to put a pair of Tigers on base. Nelia Peralta reached on a fielder’s choice play, which allowed McCray to score and give Auburn the early 1-0 lead.

A couple of Louisiana baseball programs in LSU and McNeese are coming off weekend series losses against conference opponents. Both teams met in Baton Rouge on Tuesday night for a matchup at the Box and the Tigers pounced on the Cowboys early with five runs and ended up run-ruling Justin Hill’s squad 16-0 to improve to 22-12 while McNeese dropped to 16-15 on the season.

After getting swept by Arkansas and then falling to cross-town Southern, the LSU Tigers returned to SEC play at Alex Box Stadium by welcoming Vanderbilt for a three-game set. The Tigers jumped out to a 9-0 advantage thanks to a six-run third and a three-run fourth inning and were able to overcome a late Vanderbilt rally to win 10-6.
