7/22/24 5:30 am CT Good morning, Tiger Fans, We’ve had a lot of good news to report lately, but today we begin with the kind I hate to pass along. LSU sophomore cornerback Javien Toviano has been arrested and suspended from team activities. According to WAFB TV in Baton Rouge, Toviano is charged with video voyeurism. An arrest report indicates that Toviano allegedly used a hidden camera to record himself having sex with the victim without their consent. 7/20/24 5:30 am CT Good morning, Tiger Fans, Today’s post starts with a look at preseason polls: Eight Tigers made the All-SEC football team, and LSU was picked to finish fifth in the league by media members at SEC Media Days. Fan favorites Will Campbell (OT) and Harold Perkins (LB) earned a spot on the first team and were joined there by Zavion Thomas, who made the first team as an all-purpose specialist and the second team as a return specialist. Thomas being on both teams is a bit redundant, but it speaks to how respected he is as a special teams threat.  Other LSU players on the secon ..read more

Right-handed pitcher Christian Little was picked in the 11th round (333rd overall) by the Seattle Mariners, and southpaw pitcher Justin Loer was selected two rounds later (378th overall) by the Colorado Rockies. Little, who transferred to LSU from Vanderbilt before the 2023 season, was out of collegiate eligibility, and we look forward to seeing what he can do at the next level. After that, we’ll bring you up to speed on LSU in the Major League Baseball Draft before concluding with our Countdown to Game Day.  Content continues below ..read more

The big news came even before the Major League Baseball Draft got underway when Schmidt pulled his name from the draft and declared on social media, “Calling Baton Rouge! 7/14/24 5:50 am CT Good morning, Tiger Fans, BOOM! As expected, the Tigers landed a much-needed defensive back in the 2025 class, as Destrehan’s Jhase Thomas announced his commitment to the Tigers yesterday. Thomas, the son of former Saints cornerback Fred Thomas, chose the Tigers over Ole Miss, Colorado, Texas Tech and Houston. The No. 14 prospect on our Top Louisiana Football Prospects list is a tall 6-foot-1, rangy DB who ran a 4.4 at LSU’s Elite camp. On3 has Thomas listed as a safety, but there’s chatter that LSU might be recruiting him as a cornerback. After giving three fakeouts during ..read more
