We just recently became part of the toy hauler family. This weekend was our first trip out with the new trailer for us, and has not been very fun. Our hydraulic went down ok and then we tried to get it off the truck it stopped working. Now our truck and trailer are connected with the landing gear down. I am not sure what to do in order to just get the landing gear up and pull it to the dealer to replace. I found several things in the book and on the various web pages to try. I have... Worst RV I ever purchased

I bought a brand new 2019 Landmark 365 Newport in june 2019. This has been the worst RV I have ever purchased. Right off the bat the vacuum breakers leaked and rotted out my front compartment floor. Within the first year the Dining slide began to leak and rotted out the slide wall. within the second year the other slides began to leak. All the slide seals plus repairing water damage is going cost around 20K ..read more

Binding slide on 2018 BH270

When I’m pulling the slide in. The first ~4 inches are really tough on the drive. It’s lifting the room up in this part of its travel, but the bind extends past the lift as well. It frequently stalls even when plugged in. I’m resorting to pushing it in, while the wife holds the button. I greased the telescoping round shaft, which I guess has a cable inside, and the two rack & pinions to no avail. I’m not even sure which unit this is(?) Anyway, motors and the drive are working normally, it’s... Read more ..read more

To buy or not to buy

Hello! I am brand new to the forum. I haven't even bought a unit yet, but I'm looking at one. If I do buy it, I'll be happy to have a community to interact with because, well, it takes a village. I am looking at a 2012 Edge M21 this Friday (6/14). I like that it is an older model and reasonably priced which will allow me to have some funds left over to put my stamp on it (decor wise). I've been looking at trailers for several years but am ready to finally pull the trigger and get camping... Read more ..read more

I have a 2023 Heartland Northtrail 24BHS. Used 2times 1 summer when we bought and 1 Winter when we moved to TN. Problem A/C won’t come on did a test on the circuit and reading came up OL which means no power running from breaker which is fine and fuse too to unit, so there is a break in the line. Remember only used A/C once! So how does this happen? Tried to trace the line but it runs under the trailer up a wall to the unit. Had a RV tech come out and said also there is a break in the line... Burned up power cord -- what is the cause? What damage could there be?

Hi all, We recently began full-timing in the ElkRidge in a new RV Park. This area of the park has new power, water and sewer hookups, installed within the last year. We've been here about 2.5 weeks. Yesterday, while I was working on my computer and Tony was just sitting in his chair, we heard what sounded like a rock hitting the glass window, a few times in sucession. We both jumped, and said "what was that!" Then the power went out, and smoke came out of the TV (which was not on at the... Read more ..read more
