New gas cap. Smoke checked and supposedly leak free. New leak detection pump. I have one of the Genright gas tank access panels installed so I fired up the Jeep and stuck my nose next to the tank to smell for gas fumes. Some time ago I dropped the tank and broke the driver’s side anti rollover valve. At the time I repaired that. I didn’t smell any fumes from that side of the tank. I know this is most likely going to get all sorts of different opinions. I sold my 2005 rubicon in 2014 due to it not being big enough for my family. I needed to fit three car seats. I just bought a 2005 wrangler x, manual six speed, stock height, 119k miles, that I will eventually be letting my oldest daughter drive. My oldest is 12.5 so I have a couple years before she gets it. 27k miles, black on black with red dash, every option but leather seats including adaptive cruise. Was a smoker’s truck but have done a lot of work to clean it out.
