Hello! I just bought a 2010 Jeep Patriot Limited (bought it as an fixer upper) and was hoping to maybe get some insight into what could be the cause and what to repair as I’m planning to do it myself. The rear passenger tire is tilting inwards, and is riding on the wheel well. The previous own said it was just a lower control arm bushing that needs to be replaced. Do I really Need It? My engine splash shield fell off today, it didn’t rip, it didn’t stretch, it just fell off. I find this piece of plastic, useless. I see that this shield covers the belts. However, Ive read that this shield really doesn’t protect from much, past small debris, and water. I like “light off-roading” small creeks, old mining roads, back trails, sand. How did it fall off? Sorry this may be long, but want to give details, and hope someone has a suggestion. 2020 Compass 2wd with 50k miles. Getting a chirp that turns to a full on squeal. The noise is not present on startup but will show up after just a short drive. Tried water on the belt to rule out the easiest fix, the belt itself. So now, I’m wondering if it’s one the accessories. Hello all, and welcome to my 2014 Jeep Patriot nightmare ?. It starts fine, runs fine...for 30ish minutes then the gas pedal becomes unresponsive and may or may not respond after a few seconds of pressing it. Last time it happened today, i shut the car off, then back on and it responded enough to get me in the driveway. I have a 2010 Jeep Patriot Limited 4 X 4 with automatic trans and 17” factory rims. My tires are 225 65 r 17’s. I never have and never will go off road. I’m wondering if I get wider and shorter tires will they improve street handling ? If so, what’s the widest and shortest tire I could go with to achieve this and remain within the mechanical limits of the Patriot ? Hey Jeep Patriot Friends! I was wondering if anyone had advice or an experience that I’m currently having. I bought my 2007 Jeep back in 2017(from the original owner), and she is currently at 150,500 miles. I’ve never had any major issues, never felt like the car needed much work.
