The U.S. Coast Guard, with help from the U.S. Navy, recused three men from a tiny atoll south of Guam on Tuesday in what can only be described as a classic rescue scenario. The rescue was initiated by a U.S. Navy submarine hunting plane that spotted the words 'HELP' written in palm fronds on the beach of a tiny tropical island. 'Uber Eats for Boats' is already being trialed, but has thus far been hampered by its ability to deliver only to docks. A small but significant detail has emerged in the sale of Sunseeker Yachts. Bloomberg first reported that renowned yacht builder Sunseeker, which is owned by the Chinese-based Dalian Wanda Group, was being sold to Miami, Florida-based investment firm Lionheart Capital. According to Bloomberg, both parties have signed a so-called "sale and purchase agreement," although details of the sale are not yet public. The latest Coast Guard published boating accident statistics will shock you. They tell us that there is a serious lack of knowledge when it comes to driving a boat and it is costing lives. Specifically, in 2022, 74.3% of boat driver deaths, were drivers with no formal boat driving education. For boat drivers who have taken a state certification course, the percentage of deaths drops to 13.3%.
