It’s been a celebratory past few months here at CWCF, with the efforts of our fantastic team and volunteers acknowledged at both the Uckfield and Eastbourne business awards recently. The crew were lucky enough to join together with local businesses and charities to promote and celebrate the achievements of the past year. Two brilliant nights at The Winter Gardens and East Sussex National Hotel and Resort, were filled with music, dinner, and laughter as the evenings culminated in a show of support for all the work undertaken by locals. At the Eastbourne business awards, we were shortlisted for ..read more

Ever wonder where your donations go? All the money that is donated to CWCF, whether it be through fundraisers or independent donors, goes towards supporting our families, and contributing towards exciting social events that unite children with cancer and their families with others in the community who are going through similar experiences. Caravan holidays on the South coast enable them to spend quality time together away from treatment, small acts of kindness such as receiving a bouquet of flowers can put a smile on the faces of mums who only have time to think about how to get through a week ..read more

It has been a whirlwind couple of months at Children with Cancer Fund, from bouncing back from the height of the pandemic to making big decisions about our future. When the opportunity to buy our office presented itself, we knew what we had to do. We embarked on a mission to raise the remaining funds needed to the secure the building, which is the beating heart of our charity. Without it we would be faced with the added strain of moving and relocation costs, and losing our home. 3-4 The Triangle houses our staff and volunteers workspace and provides a space for our families to drop into should ..read more

After a difficult year in 2020, we weren’t quite sure what would be in store for CWCF in 2021 but we were certainly hopeful that things would improve! Unfortunately, the year began with us all in another national lockdown but again, we didn’t let this stop us from supporting the families in a safe way. We continued to run our ‘Meal Delivery Project’ where our families were treated to a Green Fig Catering meal, an afternoon tea from the Wealden Kitchen or their favourite takeaway! We also organised some Random Acts of Kindness, which involved working with local businesses to surprise some of th ..read more
