Does anyone have a recipe for dumpling / gyoza dough/skin whatever you wanna call it using oat fiber instead of flour? Looking for a low calorie recipe so I was wondering if it would be possible to do something with oat FIBER, psyllium husk, egg whites, and water? But I wonder if it would be possible to actually steam them without it falling apart? Does anyone have any tips/suggestions/recipies? submitted by /u/Willing_Condition407 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Am I Eating Wrong??

After a month of counting my calories, figuring out high protein foods, looking at different fitness influencer recipes and buying stupid low calorie snacks...it's just vegetables. I'm absolutely stuffed with mushrooms, cabbage, spinach and a nice marinade with a side of protein and kimchi and it's half of my usual dinner calories. I feel like I must be doing something wrong, is it possible I'm not counting my calories right? What are the downsides to volume eating, I feel like this can't just be it I must be doing something incorrectly or there's a catch I'm missing please tell me submitted ..read more

Roasted strawberries with whipped topping

1/4 cup roasted strawberries, 2 tbsps whipped topping and 1/2 a graham cracker sheet came to 115 calories, but I used a lot of sugar with my strawberries (recipe below). Next time I’m gonna half the sugar and go with nonfat Greek yogurt vs. whipped topping to see if it’s reminiscent of strawberry cheesecake (you cottage cheese-loving monsters can try that instead). Roasted strawberries recipe: - 1 lb strawberries - 1/2 cup sugar * - 1 tsp vanilla - 1 tbsp lemon juice Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit/175 Celsius. Remove green tops from strawberries and halve them. Toss with the sugar, v ..read more

Cucumbers

Someone asked on here what the best way to eat cucumbers was and I commented my favorite recipe but figured I’d make my own post as well. This recipe comes from my ex’s mom who swears it’s from Honduras but I’m not certain. You’ll need a couple of cucumbers, a few limes (I like 4-5), ground cumin and salt. You cut your cucumbers and add to a container, squeeze your limes, add your cumin and salt. You can add as much of each as you like. It definitely tastes better after mar mating overnight but can be eaten right away. Super tasty and a good, low calorie summertime snack. Enjoy! submitted by ..read more
