I am not one to post but have a question for a few of you breeders out there. I am thinking about doing a brother sister breeding. They are both exceptional dogs, the whole litter was a stand out and they themselves are not too closely bred. Both dogs and their parents show excellent health.
I know there has been much discussion about line breeding but what about full siblings?? Struggling to find a male I like for this bitch and I keep looking at her brother.
Thanks,

I’m working on getting a service dog for my autism and anxiety (mostly the autism). Most of my family is allergic to dogs (I’m the only exception), so it has to be hypoallergenic. We have a havanese, and it’s honestly the perfect breed for our situation. But our current dog is not at all fit for service dog work (besides his reactivity and stubbornness, he’s almost 10 years old). So, I’m looking to get a second dog.
Has anyone here had a havanese service dog, and is the breed a good fit...

Based on a conversation I had with someone recently:
For those of you who have more experience than me - and who perhaps have worked loose-eyed upright as well as strong-eyed dogs.
What are the greatest differences to keep in mind when working a loose-eyed as opposed to a strong-eyed dog?
How is starting and training a loose-eyed upright dog different from a kelpie or bc?
In the ideal world, how would a HIT or a trial specifically for loose-eyed and perhaps upright dogs be set up...

How do I find clubs in Germany or Italy or Spain or the Netherlands that accept off SHEPHERD breeds? I am also interested in learning about being a helper.
I am in the USA, just started a club here. I am still very new to the sport so I do not know what is normal for clubs or how much each club is different….
For example, the club I am with right now, they do not care if we do not wish to go to trial level or world level (dog I have right now doesn’t have that drive). My goal is to learn and...

Hello,
I am exploring the possibility of one of these two breeds as a "protection/deterrence" dog for my family. We are working on plans to move from in town to the country and for work I am gone two/three days a week with my wife and two kids at home during that time. The police response in the county can be 10 or more minutes even in a critical incident so I would like an extra layer in our home security plan besides the usual lights, cameras, and 2nd Amendment, so I.e. the dog. I have...
