Sleep troubles

My 15 month old has recently started waking up from her naps going absolutely insane. Screaming, hysterical, but easily consoled. She takes 1 nap, and they used to be about 2.5-3 hours and now it’s about one 45 min sleep cycle/ a little earlier at 30 min or so. It’s been a week of this and I’ve tried Tylenol beforehand with no help. I also use teething tabs which I don’t think help much. She has also been having multiple night wakes. Sometimes split nights in the last week (where she’s just super awake for 2-3 hours smack in the middle of the night) which haven’t happened since we transitione ..read more

My boy is 8 months old and already learned front craling (he used to only crawl backwards lol)—and at the stage where he consistenly find so many different ways to make my heart jump. He’s just so curious about the world now (I think) that he wants to chew on everything (he’s also teething!). He’s not yet babbling(is that normal at this stage?) but screams like a pterodactyl. How’s your baby so far? submitted by /u/HareCrossing [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Over feeding/not feeding enough

First time poster in this sub. My wife and I are first time parents to our daughter who will be a week old tomorrow. We are currently feeding her formula because my wife is not producing enough breast milk. During the day, we feed her every 2-3 hours (usually 2 ounces). She’s very happy and content throughout the whole day with this feed cycle and amount (showing us signs she’s full) But around 8 PM is our time to get her settled in the bedside bassinet and we lay down. She is a completely different baby. Feeding her usual 2 ounces is not enough (showing us signs she’s hungry). A lot of clust ..read more

I have an 11 week old baby. I go back to work in a week and change. I can't wait. I don't know how y'all do this. I'm alone with baby all day and I am slowly going stir crazy. I can't go anywhere because he screams unless someone is next to his carseat. He's having weight gain issues so I need to be able to feed him any time he shows even a speck of interest. He nurses for 45+ minutes at a time. For the past few days his crying has produced only annoyance for me. I just want some time where a tiny human isn't relying on me for it's every need. No I don't have PPD/PPA. I'm just over extended a ..read more

I'm 10 months PP and it's starting to wear on me. I LOVE being a mom so much, and I have a super easy-going baby and I'm so grateful. But I feel so alone. I wake up early, exercise, work, pick up baby, put her down, and work some more and then go to sleep. A lot of my friends moved during COVID and my current friend group is really my husband's childless friends, so I don't have much opportunity to socialize. Plus I've been sick the last few weekends whicj would be my only time anyway. I've tried making mom friends through a local group but I haven't really clicked with anyone. And I feel mys ..read more

Looking to purchase a Stroller Wagon.

I have a 9 month old beautiful girl. We have yet to venture out to a zoo or aquarium or a mall. We have a stroller that came with the car seat but you can’t put much in the undercarriage. I wanted to purchase a baby trend stroller wagon but wasn’t sure how everyone felt about it. I’ve seen so many people dislike it but I wanted it as a replacement for the stroller. If y’all have purchased a wagon before, what brand and model was it and did you like it? Did you keep using it and did it benefit you? submitted by /u/Brendaram96 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

First time mom soon. Swaddle or no Swaddle or not to swaddle I been hearing and reading about the pros and cons of baby swaddling the newborn/ baby… and insight what you did and why and what the outcome was??? Many say it helps motor skills and allows them to adapt to movement and make them not so sensitive to change and others mention that swaddle is soothing and good for baby due to in the womb experience etc but it’s a lot to process and first time mom this may coming Thanks submitted by /u/Grassbeanpizza [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’m so tired of hearing PPD

This is not meant to downplay the seriousness of PPD/PPA. They are real conditions that require help I just feel women deserve more than a one size fits all diagnosis. I’m so tired of hearing and seeing comments telling others they may have PPD. I know that PPD is common and nothing to be ashamed of, but it seems like it has become the go to answer. If you’re upset that your child isn’t sleeping it must be PPD. If you’re worried about your child not eating well it’s PPA. When you’re inevitably struggling with the change in lifestyle required when having a child you must be medicated. I was to ..read more

Toddler has a peanut allergy. Blood last year (prior to 1 YO) came back with proteins at 59 and 51. This year, they’re at 29 and 13. What does this mean, if anything at all? submitted by /u/xdonttakesrsly [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
