Many couples prefer to have their wedding during the spring, summer and fall months when the weather is warmer and the grass and trees are full of green but there are those who do like to have a winter wedding. Winter weddings can have great natural light and the snow, white as cotton, is great for wedding photography. You can embrace the festive season with wreaths and many holly decorations and dried fruits with color red in them, just like the symbol of love! You can also hang romantic fairy lights for some more mood lighting during the reception. In my over 30 years of experience I have ..read more

Ever seen that necklace that says “Love you to the moon and back,” well this couple took that saying to heart. The arbor for the ceremony looked similar to a dream catcher and was outlined with greenery and white and pink flowers and was in the shape of an upside down teardrop. Family and friends were there to celebrate with this couple as they started down this new path of married life. After the ceremony wedding photos were taken by the bride and groom, amongst many others, on the moon! The fall foliage and trees made a great natural background behind the moon. Just look at these stellar p ..read more

What a great venue to have a wedding… Old Saco Inn! The flowered pathways, all the way to the main log building are beautiful and make amazing locations to take wonderful wedding photos. The reception set up inside is also great, as the staircase makes a perfect pyramid for the wedding party to look down on the newly wed couple as they dance. With the balcony above too, there is plenty of room for a large wedding if that is what you prefer. There is plenty of nature outside to have the ceremony or if the weather does not cooperate you could even have the wedding ceremony inside and still hav ..read more

The sun was shining down on these brightly colored brides! You could feel the emotion from them both during the ceremony, so deeply in love. And then during the reception, their energy for dancing and singing was outstanding. Not only from them but everyone there to celebrate their wedding and special day with them was ready to get up and get out on the dance floor. Such a fun wedding to attend and photograph! Large celebration!

Friends and family… How many do you invite? There is no correct number as to how many people you can invite to celebrate your wedding day with you. Pick your super close friends and/or relatives to be part of the bridal party and then all others to watch you get married. There is no specific number as to how many can be in the wedding either. This couple had a fairly large bridal party and the wedding was outside so it could seat more than if they were inside. So when you are picking a venue you will want to be sure that it can hold the amount that you would like at your wedding. Some couple ..read more

What a way to make your wedding your own - this groom had the Captain America shield with him while he was getting married and throughout the day. And the atmosphere was even better with the location this couple chose, Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. This venue is high up in the mountains and has a fantastic view of the land below with mountains away in the distance. This wedding was such a fun wedding to shoot and I was able to get some beautiful wedding photos along with some wonderfully fun photos. Who says you have to be completely serious on your wedding day… gott ..read more

Now is a great time to get those engagement or portrait photos done, right here in New Hampshire. The trees are full of green leaves, the flowers are blooming, the rivers and streams are running strong and the weather is warming up with all the sunshine! This time of year is great for hiking and exploring to visit waterfalls around the area. This couple decided to have their engagement photos taken at Jackson Falls, in Jackson, New Hampshire. The falls consist of cascades and small plunges and has an approximately 100 foot total drop. The area is good for hiking and swimming and is free to vis ..read more

Do you love the winter and want a winter wedding in northern New England? January, February and March are great months to host a wedding. There are many venues open for business where you can still either have your wedding inside or outside (of course depending on the weather). But if you prefer and only want photos outside, like this couple, you can have your first look and portraits outside and the ceremony and reception inside, it is totally up to you. Here in New Hampshire we get plenty of snow during these months which makes for a great backdrop for your wedding photos. And no you don't ..read more

A Wedding for the Books!

Where to begin – the bride’s incredible dress? The groom’s fantastic tux? Or maybe their gorgeous backdrop of Cathedral of the Pines? The day was nothing short of perfect as these two tied the knot on a beautiful fall day in Rindge, New Hampshire. Their ceremony was sweet, with speeches by a couple friends while their families watched. Tears of joy were present, and their dog walked down the aisle to bring them the rings. They had set aside a significant amount of time for the portrait session of the day, and I took full advantage! We explored some of the different locations around the venue ..read more
