For current dental students that are attending UofT or McGill that come from a low-income household I was wondering if you would be open to sharing your experience at your respective school and if there are a lot of bursaries/grants/scholarships available to you? I come from a low-income household and will be attending either uoft or mcgill for this upcoming year and I am a bit nervous about the financial side of things as dental school is quite expensive. I know this question has been asked a while back but I was kinda curious about how things have changed since COVID times and whether or not the thoughts of each school have updated since then. Hi everyone! I am a Canadian student who's interested in going to the US for DDS/DMD. The competition is tough in Canada and I believe the only schools I would have a fair shot are in the US. If I can get an accredited dental degree from the US, would I be able to come back to Canada and practice? I know I would have to take the board exam and I'm not worried about that. What I'm worried about is that it may not be a smooth integration into the Canadian system. Can I ask for some realistic advice on this? Hi everyone, I am a student at SFU and was wondering about the biochem pre-req at UBC DMD. I was taken two 2nd year biochem courses (MBB 222 and MBB 231) at SFU. I was under the impression that it would satisfy the UBC dmd pre req? But I heard from some applicants that UBC requires a third year biochem course in order for the pre req to be satisfied.
