Hi, I’m only 20 and I fear I may loose my teeth, I noticed a cavity on the back of one of my front teeth, like 3-4 years back. I only noticed cause part of the tooth felt thinner, sure enough I look and there’s a brown dot. Now years later my tooth from the front looks totally normal and intact besides some white spots that have been there for a while. However the back and bottom is a different story, the inner corner of my tooth is super thin compared to the rest and I noticed another spot starting to do that. I went to the dentist when I first noticed it and the dentist did fillings but not ..read more

Ive had this lesion on the right side of my tongue for 8 months now (that I know of). The atrophic patch led dentists and doctors to think its geographic tongue but I think its wrong. It doesnt move around. Also, there are occassional white patches and lines that show up, though they come and go. Some stinging/burning intermittently. 28M, non smoker, non drinker. Is this oral cancer. submitted by /u/Robertoavarrothe2nd [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Gritty feeling in mouth post gum graft

Hey all. A month ago I had a gum graft on my lower left teeth. I had had one before on a different set and I remember the roof of my mouth being so painful but this time I barely felt it. I tried to follow all the periodontist's instructions closely and at my one week check up she and the hygienist were delighted by how well it was healing. At my second week check up they again said it was healing great; I had noticed how much better the pain was this time so I agreed it must be healing super well. They took out my stitches, but there were some that really, really did not want to come out and ..read more

I 19m noticed these small bumps on the back of my gum where my wisdom teeth used to be. For reference my wisdom teeth were removed over a year ago and never broke the gum line prior to removal. What are these? I just recently noticed them and they hurt when I eat hard food such as goldfish. I have always had good dental health and went to a checkup a month ago with no issues. submitted by /u/LJo212 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Loose veneer/mild gum swelling

I noticed swelling/a bruising sensation in my gums late last week. Sometimes there's a small white spot, like a head, but not always, and the swelling has decreased over the last 5 days, to the point where it's not evident in a photo. Last night while flossing I noticed my veneer is quite loose, which explains the sudden increased cold sensitivity I've been experiencing. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow, but I'm wondering what I can expect. Assuming the veneer and tooth are intact, is it a quick fix? Info: I got X-rays done less than a year ago and everything looked fine then. Last time ..read more
