This seems like a new concept, or it is to me at least. Have any of y'all tested this out or have any experience in making a self insured agreement with a company? How was it? Profitable, annoying, worthwhile, not worth doing? submitted by /u/Obvious_Chocolate [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am in the process of applying for my license in New Jersey and I don’t see anything about an adjunctive procedures license, does it not exist in NJ? If not can we not bill 97110 and other PT codes in NJ or is the adjunctive procedures license just not required? submitted by /u/Ok_Sale_374 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey everyone! I am in the process of transitioning from being associate at a company with 10+ offices, to an Independent Contractor role at an Integrative healthcare office that includes functional medicine, regenerative medicine, and various types of therapy/counseling. I will be the first doctor there that focuses mostly on physical medicine (adjustments, soft tissue work, rehab). Does anyone have any advice/tips for someone in my situation? Business, legal, mindset, etc. submitted by /u/bigdaddy7794 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am a recent graduate from a US Chiropractic college and looking to take the new Canadian board exams. Summary of situation: I have passed all 5 NBCE exams for the USA. I previously passed Part A and failed Part B; CCEB wouldn't let me retake B or register for C and now I have to restart the process on the new exams. I took the Part 3 USA and Part B Canada on the same weekend. The Canadian tests were much harder, with different question styles and content emphasis (imo). Can anyone point me towards some resources to use or share anything you have that may help on the new exams? I used to hav ..read more

Question to practitioners: Does back manipulation carry any risk of clot formation?

I (36, M) am planning to see a chiropractor this week, and I am wondering if back manipulation carries any increased risk of stroke. I know this is a controversial and unclear topic, even for neck manipulation, but I have a vertebral artery/cervical spine condition called Bowhunter’s Syndrome (my vertebral artery occludes when I turn my neck). I also have an underdeveloped vertebral on the other side. I take aspirin to prevent clots and statins to ensure my “good artery” stays open. I have been advised to avoid neck manipulation by my neurosurgeon and spine surgeon (I’m not in need of neck ma ..read more

Some context I was in a very serious car crash when I was 19, and since then I have had very debilitating back pain 3 of my lower discs were over 50% damaged (what my chiro said after imaging came in) and I recently moved and I lost my tens unit that I got while in treatment at the facility. I want to get a new one, but I don’t want to waste money on one if they’re better getting them from an actual chiropractor or a specific model? TYIA. Also open to any other product recommendations. I do all the stretching and treatment that I can but I have a very physical job. The only thing that ever se ..read more
