Harjit Kaur, (pictured with her two young children, two and four) tragically lost her life after at a Melbourne abortion facility in January 2024 The events surrounding the tragic death of Harjit Kaur during an abortion in Melbourne in January have baffled the NZ medical professional we spoke to, and raised some glaring media inconsistencies. Earlier this month, the Australian media reported the story about Harjit Kaur, a 30 year old mother of three who died during a surgical abortion at Hampton Park Women's Health Clinic in Melbourne, Australia. According to reports, Harjit Kaur had just lan ..read more

Act is the Pro-Abortion Party that Punishes Pro-Life Free Speech
Voice For Life

Five days ago, something truly bizarre happened in the world of New Zealand politics. David Seymour announced that the Act party would be targeting the electorate of Tāmaki - the National stronghold currently represented by MP Simon O’Connor. People on all sides of the political aisle were left scratching their heads in disbelief as to why a political party supposedly committed to changing the government at the next election would be trying to oust a fellow opposition MP. It didn’t take long for the answer to present itself, when Seymour made it clear to the media that O’Connor’s pro-life view ..read more

When NZ Pro-Abortion Activists Start Making Up Rights Instead of Respecting Real Ones
Voice For Life

In an op-ed published in today’s edition of the Dominion Post, pro-abortion activist Terry Bellamak claims that anti-free speech zones outside abortion clinics are a human right. She starts by complaining that the process to establish these free speech restriction zones - the Orwellian named ‘safe areas’ - takes far too long, but she never clarifies what she thinks the process should look like. Just to be clear, we are talking here about making public spaces into anti-free speech zones, where it is a criminal offence to express views about abortion (even silently) within 150 metres of the peri ..read more

Is the NZ Euthanasia Law About to be Expanded?
Voice For Life
by Kate Cormack

A lengthy and rather curious article about advance care directives appeared in both the Listener and the NZ Herald last week. An advance care directive is a legal document in which you detail what your preferred care options are should you find yourself seriously unwell or unable to communicate decisions about your care at some future point. This Listener/NZ Herald article appears to be part of the communications strategy for a political campaign which is seeking to change NZ laws about advance care directives. It begins by relating the story of Barbara, an older Kiwi woman who experienced a s ..read more

Abortion, Hookup Culture, and Socialism
Voice For Life

VFL commentator Holly Anne explores the connections between abortion, hookup culture, and socialism… In this age of increased political polarization, there seem to be endless ideologies, movements, debates, and moral issues that are leaving their impressions on modern culture. Amid these central topics, abortion and socialism are frequently recurring themes. The abortion debate, having dominated the public political sphere for the last few decades, and increasingly so with the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, is a sensitive topic for many. The complexities su ..read more

Labour launches a new 0800 backstreet abortion service which encourages prayers before and after abortion

Despite mounting pressure to deal with rising crime, a spiralling cost of living problem, and a health system in major crisis, earlier this week, Jacinda Ardern’s Labour Government prioritised the launch of yet another abortion project - a brand new 0800 dial-an-abortion number and website which promotes the religious ritualisation of abortion. The rather menacingly titled ‘DECIDE’ scheme allows New Zealand woman and girls to the ring an 0800 number and have abortion drugs couriered to them so that they can carry out an at-home DIY abortion up to 10 weeks. You may initially be consulting with ..read more

The Roe Decision has Unleashed a Tsunami of Misinformation and Lies
Voice For Life

Last Saturday (NZ time) the the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) issued a ruling overturning the infamous 1973 Roe v Wade, and 1992 Planned Parenthood v Casey rulings. Anyone who knows anything about Roe, will know that it was always a legally problematic ruling which involved some abusive contortions of the US Constitution in order to turn out the way that it did. Sadly, as is often the case with things such as these, a lot of people are clearly ignorant of the history and flaws in the original ruling, along with what the actual overturning of Roe means in real terms. This means th ..read more

We are the Post-Roe Generation, and Now is Our Time!

VFL commentator Holly Anne shares her thoughts on the famous end to Roe v. Wade… The US Supreme Court has officially overturned Roe v. Wade (and Planned Parenthood v. Casey) - the law that has arguably been the most-often talked about piece of legislation in the duration of the abortion debate until now.  Now the power to regulate, legalize, or criminalize abortion rest solely in the hands of each individual state’s governing authorities, and many states are banning abortion already.  Overnight, thousands of lives will have been saved.   As key pro-life advocate Lila Rose ..read more

To be pro-life is all about the 'long game', and the game is far from over!
Voice For Life

Voice For Life commentator Holly Anne explains why being pro-life is all about the ‘long game’. “Antis play the long game...the fight for fundamental human rights is never really over. That’s why we’re here. We play the long game too.”  If I didn’t know better, I would have assumed this was the heartfelt plea of a pro-life organization: an impassioned declaration of no-surrender in the fight for justice for unborn children.   The claim that the “fight for fundamental human rights is never really over” is a hard reality for us.   Just as soon as we make one victory, a ..read more
