hey! you can call me luns (they/them pronouns)! i'm the host of a small osdd system. we recently had a room become available in our home, and we were hoping to ask if anyone on here knows of any resources/websites/etc that will help us find another system (preferably with a fellow afab/fem-presenting, mid-20s host since we'd feel most comfortable with that!) who needs a room, or if anyone on here lives in the southern us and fits the preference! i really want my system to be able to feel open and comfortable in our home to be able to be themselves without having to worry about masking as me. p ..read more

The assault was a real life issue having nothing to do with these boards. Just felt I should clarify that after rereading the post so no one thinks I meant otherwise. K. statistics: Posted by Gregunsure — 7:00 PM - Jan 31 ..read more

The diagnosis isn't what's important... Are you happy? Are things working ok for you? Do you have a therapist you trust? Are you ok?... Getting better?... In need of help?... These are the questions that matter. Not the diagnosis. And integration isn't necessary to get to a place of functionality or happiness. Cooperation and coordination can work just as well as integration. So if the answers to those questions are no you aren't happy, things aren't going well, and you're not ok then therapy and the insights of others may help. If the answers are yes you're happy, safe, and things are w ..read more

It sounds like DID to me but I'm no therapist. It definitely sounds like what we go through all the time. As far as not knowing about it that's easy, you answered that yourself. Memory loss is common with DID and memory is not the same thing as insight. Insight is understanding a concept and being able to see or pull some information out of it that most other people couldn't. Memory is the storage of an experience. You can have perfect insight into something but if you can't remember that you had that insight in the first place then that insight is lost and there's no way to know it was e ..read more

I'm not sure what to say other than this would make so much sense given my own circumstances. Epilepsy runs in my family and even though I have never experienced any personal epileptic episodes that I am aware of it doesn't mean much. I would be interested in knowing if the same therapy techniques that treat epilepsy could help any with DID. I'm a bit skeptical that anything could help at this point but I am interested in this idea. Thanks for sharing this. I do have one question though, how does early childhood abuse factor into this? Are these high stress life and death situations hones ..read more

this doesn't sound like DID to me - it could be, but it doesn't necessarily sound like it is from an outsider who's only known you for a couple minutes. look up borderline personality disorder, it seems to fit your description better than DID would. good luck figuring everything out, i hope you can find some good coping mechanisms statistics: Posted by mikeywashere — 7:02 AM - Today ..read more

Hi, I heard about DID long time ago but never really tought I could have it. Recently I have noticed really weird reactions to things and I'm concerned if it could be because of DID. One night my sister was crying to me about something and she was very upset. I literally laughed. I felt so bad because I couldn't say or do anything. It was like watching everything happen outside of my body. I'm very empathetic person and I felt so awful after that. There has been other times too where it has felt like watching things happen out of my body and then hearing myself say something really rude. I al ..read more

Hello, My name is Alex (F-She/Her) and I am 24 years old. I am writing my master thesis and I am looking for data, so please if you have time, hear me out. Growing up, and even today I have struggled with my mental health and have (possibly as a consequence) always been interested in Psychology. For many reasons however, I never began studying it in university but chose to do linguistics instead. I now have the opportunity to analyse the language of a person with D.I.D. - thus combining linguistics and psychology! I am looking for people who have been diagnosed with D.I.D to send me some spe ..read more

I found out something. Tell your happy/alters or chemistry based alters to come out. You'll have lots of fun! Ask to change group if it doesn't work, to do that just ask and see if that's ok. Also ask if there is a 4th/5th dimensional/energy alters. This can also help with the headaches too! If there is not an alter in any of this then try to create one! If none accept, try to create a new group! If that doesn't work try to go in to the state of meditation and focus them all in. Keep trying new things to fight the condition. Have fun! statistics: Posted by FuZzCasTNo1 — 3:19 PM - 1 day ago ..read more
