Welcome to Your First Colonoscopy!
Guess what? March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month! That means if you’re forty-five and due for your colonoscopy, you get ten points for going now!
Colonoscopies Need A Rebranding
If you mention getting a colonoscopy people grunt and say two things: the prep is terrible, and the nap is great. I promise you it wasn’t that bad.
My approach was mind over matter. I had to do it, so I didn’t make a STINK. If you think it won’t be a big deal, it won’t!

February break often sneaks up on you because you’re barely recovered from the holidays. It’s also one where the weather could go either way so it makes it hard to plan in advance.
We are very lucky to live in a place that provides endless things to do in every season within a short drive. Additionally, many of these things won’t cost you a cent!
Plus, many provide a little fun and a little history so you can sneak in some learning without your kids knowing.
Lastly, we also love visiting places in the winter that we visit in other seasons showcasing a totally different experience.

Jewish Feast Of The Seven Fishes On Christmas Eve
For decades I’ve hoped and prayed that a friend – any friend – would invite me to the traditional Italian Christmas Eve dinner The Feast of The Seven Fishes.
This Christmas Eve tradition sounds like so much fun. Yet I’ve never been able to experience it firsthand. Throughout my decades of school, work, life, and travel I’ve heard the tale but never caught the whale. OK, a whale isn’t a fish.
This year I’m finally giving up. With that said, I would do it myself but I’m not Italian.
But wait! The fish has all kinds of symbolism in the Jewish rel ..read more

Strengthen your pelvic floor!
I’m a mom of three and a graduate of a vaginal birth, C-Section, and VBAC. With these under my belt, it’s safe to say nothing else stays under my belt. To clarify, I pee in my pants a lot. Well, to be fair, I should say leak. But a third of women do after childbirth. That means no one should be embarrassed to talk about this. A third of the childbearing population needs help!
Only Cool Moms Pee In Their Pants
If I laugh too hard, jump, run, or have an extra glass of water or coffee and there isn’t a bathroom in sight, I know it’s coming. However, it’s not ..read more

Your uncensored weekly guide to mom life and the crazy inner thoughts of this overwhelmed mom of three.
Weekly Mom Life Musings
OMG. June. You’re kicking my butt. I am completely overwhelmed in every aspect of my life right now. I was chatting with a friend this week feeling the same and we both agreed no matter how much we try to hedge the June crazies it’s the unexpected things that are the hardest. But that is the metaphor for life. (Wo)man plans, god laughs.
At least it no longer looks like we live on Mars. Baby steps.
Also, Happy Father’s Day to all the father’s out there!

Escape
Your uncensored weekly guide to mom life and the crazy inner thoughts of this tired mom of three.
Weekly Mom Life Musings
This week was so bizarre! It seems we moved to Mars. In case you’re not in the tri-state area or live under a rock, due to the Canadian wildfires, the air was saturated with who knows what. The skies were red, you couldn’t see in front of you, and it smelled like a giant campfire. It was very scary. Our kids were sent home from school in masks and all outdoor activities were canceled for days. But there was no where to escape. It was the AIR!

Your uncensored weekly guide to mom life and the crazy inner thoughts of this tired mom of three who has tremendous nostalgia for the 80s and 90s.
Weekly Mom Life Musings
This week went by so fast. I don’t remember what I did. Do you? The only thing I can remember is listening to Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown podcast featuring David Lascher and Christine Tayler. They continued the conversation started on their podcast “Hey Dude, The 90’s Called” about the trending 90s nostalgia right now.
Speaking of nostalgia, I went to an 80s concert Friday night. Yay! I remembered two things!
