Hi! my father used to find saffordite in Safford,AZ. this might be a long shot, but i’m going to ask anyways. He met a fellow rock hunter , and this person made Texas shape saffordite necklaces for him. I wish i knew who this person is/was. my mom said he was a man living in a van going place to place. he wasn’t from AZ. that’s all i know about the man who made the necklaces. Unfortunately my dad passed away or i would ask. He had these necklaces shipped. they are beautiful. Hope anyone can help!

My friend and I will be staying in Index WA next month for a few days and I would love to see what spots are great for rockhounding. Please note that I am a newbie to this delightful hobby, so somewhere along a river or stream where we can just stroll and hopefully stumble upon some fun finds, would be perfect! Thanks in advance!
