This whole thing about the horrible way dh is being treated by the people running the dealership, that last year bought out the former one he worked for, is really bothering me. They're not paying him money he worked for, did away with the job he'd had for some 15 years, demoted him, and cut his pay. There are also a couple of people I know who profess to being Christians, but the fruit in their lives says otherwise. These are not nice people, the only way to describe them and the things...

I kind of had a revelation the other day. I’ve very much been under spiritual attack as of late, and thus clinging very hard to Jesus to help me and to give me peace and wisdom.
It seems like no one is talking about how big of a deal Israel is, that people are literally asleep and oblivious to how late in the game we are. That we are all distracted by the enemy with our phones (a bite of a piece of fruit is on the back, for goodness sakes)! Showing that it doesn’t matter “who” would’ve...

Reminders –Weapons of Warfare
There is a war going on in Israel. Hamas is attacking from Gaza in the Southwest. Hezbollah is starting to attack from Lebanon and Syria in the North. An all-out Jihad war is being threatened by Iran in the East. Israel is surrounded by her enemies. From a human perspective, Israel cannot survive. Her enemies are too numerous, her army too small. The threat of Israel being wiped off the face of the earth is imminent except for one thing. The Jews are...

The increase for this year is 3.2. Dont spend it all in one place….
“Social Security benefits will increase by 3.2% in 2024, the Social Security Administration announced Thursday morning.
That adds about $50 monthly to the average retirement benefit consumers will receive beginning in January. The annual increases are called cost of living adjustments, or COLAs.
The agency said people on Social Security will start getting the increased payments on Dec. 29.
"Social Security and SSI...

Reminders – Fellowship, Communion, and Prayer
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42 The early church rapidly grew with one accord and were connected by who they had in common, Jesus. There were no Christian norms or traditions to follow, as everything they experienced was new. Instead of being told what to do and how to act by men or their religious laws, they were all individually...

Reminders – Apostles’ Doctrine
Fifty days after denying he even knew Jesus, Peter, under his recent filling and anointing of the Holy Spirit, preached the Gospel to a large crowd of Jews and three thousand of them believed it. Then, we are told in Acts 2:42 that these new believers “…continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” The rejection and persecution they endured from both family and the religious community...

Reminders – Strength in Weakness
In our zeal to put on a show and to “act Christian,” (that is, to do the best we can in our own efforts,) we have become as the Pharisees of Jesus’ day. They prided themselves in believing they were following the letter of the Law of Moses, while covertly living the opposite. Along with the chief priests, elders, and scribes, they enforced rules and laws on others that they themselves couldn’t keep. When Jesus came along, these leaders rejected both...

Reminders - Occupy
How many of us have preached to thousands at an evangelistic campaign? How many have taught a Bible study to hundreds of thousands over the radio or on television? How many have ministered behind a pulpit in a mega-church? How many have led worship, sang, or played a musical instrument, and had your CDs distributed all over the world? How many are Bible college professors fluent in Greek and Hebrew? I’m sure we could name some that fit those criteria (Billy Graham...
