never too many This hat is kinda perfect. Super cute and trendy but also, oh-so-functional. Okaaayyyy, but how is a mesh fabric beanie going to keep you warm? Well, it’s not. Not really, and that’s a bit of the point. This beanie is for warmer, lazy, summer days and all that goes with them. Gotta keep the tresses tamed at the park or a walk on the (always windy!) beach? Izza. Still want to be your fashionista self in the open fields of the current musicfest? Izza. Gotta run to the mall for the shock drop of the latest kicks with no time to fix your hair? Izza. Yep, this Izza crochet ..read more

Nashe, a Tunisian crochet shawl pattern
RV Designs

all about I’ve been at it again with Tunisian crochet! The last Tunisian shawl, Wyss (below), is a combination of a daisy stitch and simple stitch, which created a section in solid fabric & a smaller section in a lace fabric. This new one, the Nashe Tunisian crochet shawl, is an all-over lace. It uses one stitch throughout, so if you’re new to Tunisian crochet and the thought of learning all the new ways to put the hook here and pull through there is a bit daunting… this is the pattern for you! Its a great way to dip your toes into the waters of Tunisian lace.  better t ..read more

Stitching a blizzard Welcome to month 1 of Stitching A Blizzard! Every month in 2022 I will be releasing a new snowflake crochet pattern. In December, when I started planning this, honestly, I was a bit naive about the entire process.  The way it all began is with a new tree. We have had the same Christmas tree for at least 12 years. Going in and out of a box every year, it was looking a bit haggard. And also we’ve moved (several times) and the 7ft beauty in our first home doesn’t fit the new vaulted (16-22 ft) ceiling of this house. So what once barely fit into the room, looked ..read more

Foundation Single Crochet Tutorial Learn this great option and add a stretchy, clean edge to your next crochet project. Often, there are certain necessary tasks that are a part of crochet but are … well, not as appealing as others. Maybe for you, weaving in ends is the worst. Do you avoid projects with color changes because of it? No shaming from me, I’ve done that more than a few times. Loathe seams? It’s okay, you’re not alone. How ’bout this one: Do you love the idea of making blankets but never create them because working the first row of eleventy-billion single crochets into t ..read more
