Why don't they make roof Mounted Bi-Facial solar panels. I don't mean ones that stand up vertically. I mean flat mounted like tradational panels. The reason I ask is if I stand up say a 50,000sqft metal building for a farmers market and I want to power it mostly with panels bifacials could gather sunlight through the panel itself and any reflection back from the roof itself.
Do they make 2-layer panels and by this I mean a Bi-Facial semi-transparent panel on top and whatever light gets through hits a normal layer at the bottom? This would increase yields without compromising space.

The forecast shows rain overnight for Saturday, stopping around 7am. My installer says it looks fine. Is it okay to install after it rains? Will my roof be compromised at all from being wet?

Hello, I am planning to put up solar panels. I am getting quotes from Tesla & sunrun. I have scheduled consultation. I need help with asking the right questions so I can make informed decision.
Also, should I consider any other solar panels company?
What is your experience with solar panels?
Thanks.

We’re almost ready to go for solar panels plus battery. Should we get a smart meter first or wait for the solar panel installation to be done. We’re with Octopus at the moment.

Hi all!
I've recently noticed that my solar system is exporting instead of charging the battery anywhere close to full. I've a 7.75KW system, 10KW battery (2 x 5kw) and a 6KW Solis inverter. In the screenshot above I would expect the inverter to charge the battery first before exporting.
Any ideas what might be going on or how I can further troubleshoot?
Thanks in advance!

I supposedly have 410w panels. But it’s looking like I have 600?!
Anyone have a logical explanation for why the wh would be higher? I would expect 98% of 410 as top wh.

Need advice on additional solar panels to be added to my existing setup.
Currently I got a 2 x Growatt SPF 5000 ES inverter and 10 x fivestar 650w sola panels and now looking to add 4+ more panels. Unfortunately I couldn't find the same solar panels, is mixing solar panels a good idea if the voltages and amps are more or less the same?
Below are the panel specs for standard test conditions. Not sure which brands are a better match to existing Fivestar panels.
Prices for the panels are more or less the same.
