LEE COUNTY, Fla. — One Cape Coral family known to decorate their home with over 200,000 lights is closing their 17-year chapter this year.  Neil Monkman says he started decorating his home after watching a Christmas light commercial and decided to take up the project. CAPTIVA, Fla. – Firefighters responded to a structure fire Monday morning on Captiva. According to the Upper Captiva Fire and Rescue District (UCFRD), a generator sitting on a wooden platform caught on fire. The fire department states where the muffler sits on the platform caused the wood to catch fire and char. A neighbor saw the fire and called 911. Unfortunately, this line has been moving rapidly, up to 30 miles per hour at times, therefore rainfall totals will be relatively lower tonight.  When it comes to rainfall totals, we are expecting between a quarter to half an inch of rain since this line of showers is narrow and moving very fast. In a bid to bolster the state’s healthcare system, Florida lawmakers introduced the ‘Live Healthy’ initiative on Thursday, focused on expanding the workforce expansion, increasing access, and encouraging innovation. LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Multiple crews responded to the scene of a house fire in Lehigh Acres Sunday morning. Lehigh Acres Fire, The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Power and Light were seen responding to West 3416 23rd Street. Central Tennessee residents and emergency workers cleaned up Sunday from severe weekend storms and tornadoes that killed six people and sent more to the hospital while damaging buildings, turning over vehicles, and knocking out power to tens of thousands.
