Fort Myers, Fla. — A teen was arrested on New Year’s Day after police found him with a concealed firearm following an active search warrant. Fort Myers Police Officers saw Omari Love,18, on Palm Avenue and Blount Street. As they approached Love, he fled and threw away a cross body-bag. Love was later found hiding in a home under construction. Inside the bag, officers found a reported stolen gun. (CNN) — A Japan Airlines plane carrying hundreds of passengers burst into flames on landing at Tokyo’s Haneda airport on Tuesday after it was in collision with another aircraft involved in earthquake relief efforts. Two people are dead, including one victim and a suspect, after a shooting at a Collier County hotel on New Year’s Eve. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly shooting happened at the Port of the Islands Resort hotel on Sunday afternoon.
