The 10th edition of the FIFA Arab Cup is set to start on Tuesday, November 30th with "16 teams from across the Arab world come together to compete." It will take place in Qatar which will also host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
There were were 12 referees, 24 assistant referees and 16 video assistant referees appointed for the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.

A few weeks ago I was doing a u13 boys Elite Development Program match when, in the final 5 minutes of the match with the score 0-0, a player attempts to control an aerial ball from a goal kick in my quadrant. The ball seemed to hit their shoulder/upper arm (I couldn’t see too well because I was partially blocked by a player) when trying to control the ball and then the ball bounces just out of bounds before being kicked back in.

Non-League side Carshalton Athletic took an early lead thorough Daniel Bassett and looked set complete a famous upset against National League South side Ebbsfleet United F.C.
Later in the match English referee Paul Johnson pointed to the penalty spot after Luke Read seemed to have fouled a Ebbsfleet player.

Merritt Guthrie started his refereeing career back in 1992, became a national referee and officiated matches in Nike Friendlies, MLS preseason, USL Pro, A League at the time and National Team International Matches for the U-17 & U-20 teams.
In 2008 he became a National Assessor/Coach after finishing up his National Referee career. Then in 2019 he was invited to the PRO Assessor panel.
He became a staple in central Florida refereeing history.
We were notified by PRO that Merritt Guthrie had passed away on Monday September 6th in hospital after battling with covid-19.

Dutch referee referee Björn Kuipers is auctioning his whistle with all proceeds going to support Emma Children's Hospital.
Kuipers received the whistle as a gift from a top referee from Japan (Nishimura). The whistle has been used by Kuipers at the Euro in 2016, the World Cup in 2018 and the final of the European Championship this year.
Kuipers’ daughter has also had help from the specialists of the Emma Children's Hospital in the past. "We are very grateful for what they have done for our daughter," said the retired Dutch referee.
