Founded over 25 years ago in the 1990s, the center has developed a well-earned reputation for implementing innovative teaching, outreach, and research programs in the study of Europe, the EU, and EU-US relations. The center's activities are co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

Organized Muslim Women in Turkey: An Intersectional Approach to Building Women’s Coalitions This talk explores the politics of organized Muslim women in Turkey and analyzes their coalitions with other – secular feminist, Kurdish etc. – women’s movements from an intersectional perspective.
