A friend has me playing in his 5e game finally, and I've started gravitating toward digest sized rulebooks thanks to Star Trek Adventures Rules Digest and all the Pathfinder 2e Pocket Edition books.
Is there anything out there for 5e that's digest sized? I'm assuming I'd be limited to OGL content, but I also have not found anything, so I thought I'd use my "ask the audience" lifeline. ?
Thanks for any help ..read more

Hi, I recently volunteered to run some one shot sessions of Root RPG at a local store next month on Free RPG day. I spoke with the owner of the store and we decided that it might be good to have a similar length one shot adventure for 5e in case there is slot with no takers for Root. I am looking for some published adventure that would be fun with a group of strangers using pre-generated characters and would have a little story arc that can be finished in about three hours. The players will basically be walk-ins and could vary greatly in familiarity with the system. I don't want to ..read more

So anyone enjoy them? I know there are some awkward things about PA too WT to get into but I truly enjoy the supplement and the stream is a lot of fun not that I keep up much. Anyone else use the supplement? And I mean as is with you working for AI not homebrewing the roles and rules for your own settings. I'm running a Ravenloft meets AI campaign and pretty excited we're gonna run a bar in Muhar ..read more

Every once and a while I try to give The forgotten Realms another try to see if it's better in the hopes that I might like it and see what everyone else sees in it that I really haven't yet.
So is there a campaign setting book/overview/Gazetteer of the realms and the current situation facing the world?
Thanks ..read more

Hi everyone!
It's been some time since I last played some DnD... and I would like to come back and maybe try something with the Internet...
I don't think I feel comfortable (at least yet) to play with people I don't know by RollD20 or things that use voice/video. But I remembered seeing here "Play by Forum", can anyone point in a direction to that? I only see people playing, can't find rules or anything that helps a newbie as me ?
I also stumbled upon Discord Servers where you apparently "Play", but I couldn't understand that either...
Any suggestion or general comment pointing in ..read more

Are there any reccommended modules that play like a board game? Kind of like Folklore - The Affliction, Chronicles of Drunagor, or Aventuria. Fighting Fantasy, but multiple players. Looking for narrative text, with a bunch of skill checks and branching choices, followed by some map based objective or tactical combat. I can supply the map tiles and minis. Just not creative enough to come up with scenarios or campaigns.
Why not play those afore mentioned games? We already did. Looking for more content ..read more
