The Missing released its first episode in December 2020. In the four years since, we’ve covered more than seventy missing person cases, across the UK and Ireland. In this episode we bring you the odd case of Paul Carter, who disappeared during an overnight ferry crossing from Portsmouth to Brittany in April 2007.  It wasn’t Paul’s first time making the trip to the port of Saint-Malo. In this episode, we cover the unusual case of Mark Palmer, a construction worker from Bedfordshire, who vanished in 2019 whilst working overseas in the town of Ontinyent, Spain.  Mark was last seen by his colleagues at 10:30am on the morning of April 27th, a Saturday. Mark had a history of going AWOL for up to 24 hours at a time, so when he failed to return on Sunday, they weren’t immediately concerned. In this episode, we examine the strange case of Cathryn Holdsworth, a 72 year old woman from Illingford, Halifax, who was last seen in her local supermarket on September 9th, 2017 and has been missing ever since.  Cathryn’s disappearance was reported by her neighbour Martina, who after speaking with the police, used the spare key Cathryn had left with her to enter her home.
