Heart Rate Variability is used to assess your body’s ability to adapt via your nervous system. Your nervous system communicates to you when you’re safe or unsafe. Ideally, 80% of the time we will live in the state of safety and only spend about 20% of our time in that perceived threat state.
We like to think of Heart Rate Variability as the range of motion of our autonomic nervous system. It is highly individualized and fluctuates greatly. Can I do pull-ups during pregnancy?
Should I do pull-ups while pregnant?

Pelvic Mobility

BIRTHFIT has recently partnered with WHOOP to optimize training performance and recovery for our clients. WHOOP is a wearable performance tracking band that measures strain, sleep, respiratory rate, and heart rate variability.
Currently, there is little data on strength and conditioning training for women, and even less on pregnancy and postpartum training. We hope that this is the start of some much-needed data and information to share with the rest of the world.
Prior to WHOOP, BIRTHFIT prioritized SENSATIONS & FEELINGS over the absolute numbers. We have encouraged YOU to ta ..read more

Twin pregnancies are inherently different from a singleton pregnancy because you’re having two babies instead of one. Beyond that things may not always b ..read more
