Bon Epi is coming soon to Fort Lee.
The business offers “cookies n things” based on the tagline attached to the signage up at Washington Bridge Plaza.
The shopping center has had a few food openings within the last year including The Gyro Project (Website) and 101 Chicken (Website).
No word on when Bon Epi may open.

Old Bukhara is a new restaurant coming soon to River Edge.
Serving Uzbek cuisine, ownership has 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry.
In addition to this upcoming spot, there is another location in Marlboro.
It will feature experienced chefs from Uzbekistan, who have many years of experience behind them.
All food is certified halal, offering “national dishes” like pilaf, lamb sashlik, shurpa – the country “has absorbed” dishes from their neighbors including Kazakh, Mongolian, Turkic, Tatar and Tajik cuisines.

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is expanding to New Jersey.
The brand, which has over 22 existing locations, is expected to open in Westwood — it would be their only New Jersey location.
They scoop over 24 “fresh, rotating flavors” that are made daily in their shops.
This includes 150 homemade ice cream flavors – plus sherbets and sorbets.
There’s no word yet on an opening date.

OpenTable has shared their annual Top 100 Brunch Restaurants list (View List).
It was complied with “over 14 million diner reviews” “where people rave about brunch”.
The collection is of “top spots” across the country for a “memorable meal”.
Tops Diner was the only place on the list located in New Jersey.

Charlie’s Place is a new restaurant and bar now open in Waldwick.
The elevated gastropub is from the same chef and owner of Allendale Social.
It features a “versatile space” including a “cozy” bar room, “charming” dining room, and outdoor seating for enjoying the fresh air.
Ownership is aiming for a “unique blend of casual and upscale dining”.
The menu (View Menu) features a mix of bar snacks, salads, small plates and large plates.
There’s a “modern” cocktail menu along with a selection of organic and natural wines.

Craft Taco Co has opened in downtown Westwood.
The concept is from Chef Michael Merida, who operates Rockin’ Roots in Hillsdale (Website).
Merida spent time earlier in his career at highly regarded establishments like El Bulli in Spain and Le Bernardin in Manhattan.
He was even able to Beat Bobby Flay (Read Article) on an episode that aired in early 2020.
The menu takes from all his travels around the world — turning those flavors (Korean, Indian, Southern) into a taco.

Chick-fil-A will host a grand opening of their latest Paramus location tomorrow on May 2nd.
It seemed like Paramus had reached peak Chick-fil-A — there are locations in Paramus Park (since 1974), Garden State Plaza and one (was?) planned for the eventual buildout at the Stop & Shop Center on Route 17.
This storefront has replaced longtime tenant The Fireplace, which closed back in July 2021.
