Mom Suzanne and Dad Carlo embarked on their journey of conception in 2020. On June 25th, 2024, our amazing team of doctors hosted a special Facebook livestream of “Ask the Docs,” where Drs. Frattarelli, Karmon, and Goulet discussed our upcoming move to a brand new office!

Back in 2012, Mom Keya and her then husband (now ex) got pregnant, but at the same time Keya was also diagnosed with
cancer. Keya needed to first focus on taking care of her body and following her treatment plan, before she could safely carry a baby. Fast forward to completing treatment and being cleared medically, the couple tried to get pregnant. After a challenging year of trying and failing to conceive, the marriage also came to an end. Mom Jin and husband Ian had three miscarriages before naturally and surprisingly getting pregnant with their son, who is now three years old. The couple always knew they wanted to have another child but that it would be a challenge to have a second baby. However, they didn’t realize they would need the help of IVF to do so, and that is where their journey with the Fertility Institute of Hawaii began. Out of nine eggs retrieved, they had one embryo to transfer. That one little embryo would soon become known as Hana, (하나), which means one in Korean.
