Thursday, June 23rd, the National Basketball Association (NBA) will host its 76th annual draft. With only one pick in the upcoming draft at pick No. 18, the Chicago Bulls will be looking for the best value for their pick. While Chicago has a talented roster, they could use help in many areas. Defense and shooting are the most noticeable deficits with their current roster. Having players like Demar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Alex Caruso more than likely running the offense essentially eliminates scouting for many prospects at the guard positions. Considering that information, here are the five p ..read more

The NBA season is over, as the Warriors knocked off the Celtics in six games to win their fourth title in six years. It’s officially the off-season. The first order of business is the draft, which will take place in Brooklyn on June 23, which means it’s less than a week away. The Orlando Magic won the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery, landing the top overall pick and their choice of one of the top three prospects in this class. There’s no consensus #1 overall pick, which may put more pressure on Orlando to pick the best of the three guys. The only other team to move up in the lottery was the Sacramento ..read more

Sacramento Kings fans … put your imaginations to work … SCENE: It is the night of the 2024 NBA draft … Adam Silver saunters across the stage … oversized envelope in hand, the NBA Commissioner’s bald head glistening with anticipation … as he readies himself behind the podium to announce the 2024 NBA Draft. For Rockets fans, the draft is rarely a meaningful event, let alone the lottery. This year was an exception to that norm, Rockets fans intently had their eyes on this year’s lottery as it was a defining moment for the post-James Harden rebuild. The talk surrounding this draft is all about the top four players and the serious debate of who ranks highest from 2-4, with Cade Cunningham being most people’s clear-cut number one overall pick. With that being the case, the Rockets landed in an advantageous spot, landing the #2 overall pick. While this is an ideal position, it poises the Rockets with ..read more

Pacers stay in the Lottery and use the #13 pick The Indiana Pacers are in the NBA Lottery for the first time since 2015. That year, with the #11 pick, the Indiana Pacers selected Myles Turner out of the University of Texas. The naysayers will say the Pacers missed on Devin Booker. My preference is the Pacers didn’t miss taking Jahlil Okafor, Mario Hezonja, Willie Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudiay, Stanley Johnson, Frank Kaminsky, or Justise Winslow. All picked ahead of Myles Turner. Bringing in Rick Carlisle signals the Pacers are not looking to completely rebuild the roster. They are going to try ..read more

The Warriors are in a unique spot with not one, but two lottery picks, and they’re not your typical lottery team. The Warriors have legitimate championship aspirations for next season and as long as Stephen Curry is lacing them up for the Warriors that should be their goal. As currently constructed, the Warriors have 13 players on the roster, but with 4 of those 13 roster spots being non-guaranteed, they have plenty of roster room to work with. At pick number seven, ideally you draft a player with a high-ceiling, but considering the Warriors championship hopes, they may opt to take a guy with ..read more

The NCAA basketball season has ended and many prospects have begun declaring for the 2021 NBA draft. The top prospects are already on everyone’s draft boards and the NBA draft lottery will determine where every lottery team will fall. The Houston Rockets are a half game back from the worst record in the league giving the Rockets a 12% chance at the number one pick. If the Rockets fall to the worst record in the league their chances will increase to 14% to snag the number 1 pick in the draft. I’ll detail my opinion on who the Rockets should pick if they end up getting the number 2 pick. 2021 NB ..read more

The Sacramento Kings started the ‘first quarter’ of the 72 game NBA season with an 8-10 record. Ahead, I outline the February edition of my Sacramento Kings predictions. ‘First Quarter’ of Sacramento Kings Predictions Originally, I decided to break down the season into ‘quarters’ (72 games divided by 4 = 18 games). Check out the ‘first quarter’ of my Sacramento Kings season predictions! Honestly, many of the individual game predictions I made were incorrect. But, the overall record of the ‘first quarter’ of the NBA season was VERY close to my original prediction of 7-11. The Kings are currentl ..read more
