Patrick Corbin opened the game for the Nationals and with one out he gave a mistake pitch to Aaron Judge and Judge hit a solo home run to start the scoring. The Nationals have signed manager Davey Martinez to a two-year contract extension and general manager Mike Rizzo also is close to a new deal, according to  Ken Rosenthal and Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic. The Washington Nationals are in the middle of their third year of their “re-tool” and have been playing pretty well for a team full of young players.
