I noticed today 7950x can't be found in stock on Amazon or NewEgg after watching this video below. In the past few weeks I've been pondering getting a 7950x for an upgrade as it was approaching an all time low of $550 USD. Looks like I waited too long ..read more

The cart works perfectly fine but I do not know why it have this issue during the mining on HiveOS ">Autofan: GPU temperature 511 is unreal, driver error". This card does not have any problems, I stress tested it using FurMark. The temperature limit for the minor is 85 degrees Celsius, I changed this limit to 110 just to make it work because I know I'm in a pretty cold environment and my cards are always cold so there is no risk Involved but still the miner keeps restarting and giving me the...

Hello!
I got 10 of these cards (XFX AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 XT Triple Dissipation 8GB GDDR6).
I figured out that there is nothing out there in the internet. I couldn't find anything on techpowerup or anywhere else.
So i made my own bios changes and overclock and was able to increase the card from 48mh/s to 55mh/s.
How can i show the world? haha. Is there a way to upload the .rom to techpowerup?
Also I used following overclock: core 1325, mem 950, voltage 750.
Edit: I forget to...

There is an Intel lover that loves to bash AMD any chance they get. For months this user has not understood how a person can have more than 1 PC. Well there is a reason. Did you know that CPU mining is about 4x faster than GPU mining right now. As an example a 5900x will give you up to $4.50 a day. I posted pics of my systems earlier and promised to tell you why I have so many PCs.
5800HX/3060 laptop makes about $3 a day at 53 Watts an hour for CPU and 80 for the GPU.
5950x/6650XT/ makes...

Each Bitcoin transaction uses 4,200 gallons of water — enough to fill a swimming pool — and could potentially cause freshwater shortages
Water used for power and maintenance of Bitcoin servers adds more environmental issues.

Tom's Hardware had an interesting article today, I just read it... very interesting. Lot's of great explanation about the number was calculated, etc.
The studies also observe the bitcoin mining operation in Kazakhstan, which could face a significant freshwater shortage of...

Not really crypto, but money related, so I thought it's worth posting here.
Story: I was watching YouTube a couple of hours ago, when an ad dropped. It was (seemingly) an interview that Bill Maher made with Elon Musk about his new AI investment fund that is infinitely more efficient than what humans could do, and earns you thousands of dollars in a matter of days.
I don't fall for such stuff, but it seemed like a cut from a genuine interview, so I clicked on the link which took me to the...

Dear friends, in 2012 I had 1-2 Bitcoins in my 500gb HDD, that HDD is still running in a computer I built for my mom, she does nothing but browse the web, and it has only been formatted once. Someone told me if I used Linux OS and some tools I might be able to recover it.
I have no idea on any of this, so please advise if this is possible, because at 20k per coin now almost... I am really really looking at all my options on recovering it.
If not it is fine, but yeah, worth a shot. Please...
