While you certainly can buy pre-made Thousand Island dressing what you may not know is you probably have all the ingredients to make this classic sauce already in your kitchen. With just seven ingredients you can whip up homemade Thousand Island dressing in just a few minutes.
And while I love this dressing on salads, including a classic wedge salad, there are many other uses as well! You can drizzle this over a sandwich or burger (it’s very similar to Big Mac sauce). Or use this in a cold pasta salad or quick coleslaw. Thousand Island dressing also makes a great dipping sauce for things like ..read more

A Michelada is a savory Mexican cocktail that uses beer, lime, and spices for a drink that’s similar to a Bloody Mary but with a twist. While some may choose to serve this as a brunch cocktail, it can be enjoyed any time of day or alongside your favorite Mexican food (and preferably with a beach within view!).
The origins of the drink aren’t agreed on, but it most likely goes back to the middle of the 20th century when Mexican beer started to be served with lime and salt.

A bomb shot, but add fire. The Flaming Dr. Pepper is an amaretto shot set on fire using overproof rum, then dropped into a lager beer. The flavors mix to simulate the flavors of Dr. Pepper (there is no actual Dr. Pepper soft drink in this recipe). Although we advise extra caution, we’re excited to show you have to make this fun, flaming shot!

Taro milk tea is one of the most popular bubble tea drinks I usually see on menus. While of course you don’t have to add boba pearls to taro milk tea, it’s more fun if you do. This drink is a vibrant purple lavender color and made with taro root, brewed tea, and milk.
What is taro? Taro is a starchy root vegetable most often grown in Southeast Asia. It’s kind of like a sweet potato or yam, but has a different flavor profile. While you can use raw taro root to make taro milk tea, I almost always use taro powder as it makes the process much easier and I think is just as good.

Happy weekend, friends! Spring is starting to feel a little like summer around here and I am here for it. I can’t wait for our neighborhood pool to open next month. I mentioned this on our podcast but we are having our backyard fence replaced and they are currently putting in a small deck too. I am so excited! I can’t wait to buy a few more yard games and a little splash pool that I feel confident will soon become a “car wash” with our son. He’s also big on picnics right now, so that’s fun too. Anyway, here’s a photo of me being cheesy during the eclipse this past week along with 10 things I’v ..read more

This pb&j shot is a tasty recipe that tastes just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The combination of peanut butter whiskey and raspberry liqueur creates a convincing replica of the famous childhood treat. Garnish with a teeny, tiny peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich for Martha Stewart-level bonus points.
More shots and cocktails: Gummy Bear Shot, Green Tea Shot, Painkiller, Mai Tai, Jello Shots.
