Just as their arrival was sometimes announced for months before they had completely moved in, their departure can last even longer. I had the honor of talking on the podcast Menopause Unmuted. If you find yourself trying something new or doing something you always wanted to do and it’s not going the way you want it to, pivot and go in another direction.  Our conversation encourages you to live your life as you wish.  Stop saying how tired you are, take a nap ..read more

I recently discovered it was revival time at Mt. Zion CME church, so I decided to go.  As soon as we arrived, I felt something stir within me.  I had been inside the building several times over the past 30 years but never for revival.  This time, it was to nourish my spirit. Walking around the church and reading the cornerstones that tell the story of the past was an experience that connected me to my ancestry. The cemetery holds the remains of relatives who left lasting memories. Inside the church, the singing and preaching filled my heart with warmth.  Looking around, I c ..read more
