I just came home from a very enjoyable evening celebrating the opening of Living Entertainment in Toowoomba.  People may recall LE were previously in Lismore but suffered greatly with floods.   Anyway, they now have a great retail showroom in a good area of Toowoomba with plenty of parking - and also, with good private listening rooms etc.  it is very well setup.  Plus of course, some very nice gear on show too.   My little boy enjoyed watching Barbie in the home cinema room, but to me, listening to Keith Don’t Go on the PS Audio mono blocks combined with the aspen fr2 ..read more

More sad news with HiFi Racks Ltd, the UK company run by a wonderful husband and wife team has closed up shop. Their products have been well represented around the world and the team were a staple at major shows too. I came to know the family very well and enjoyed catching up with them in our travels.   I've just returned from a lovely family holiday to Japan and managed to make it to the Hifido branch in Akihabara, Tokyo.  A few of the Sansui Alpha 907s that I have were sourced from there, so it was a pilgrimage of sorts.   I had no idea how I'd communicate with the staff effectively and efficiently, so I saved a few key photos of my Sansui collection on my phone, along with a pic of a Hifido shipping box, and a brief introductory paragraph thanks to Google translate.   The staff member on duty was chuffed and was only too happy for me to take photos for sharing online ..read more

I bought something from Trevor Lees last year, and to be honest I haven't had a problem with it..I found him via e-bay as his webstore seems to undercut everyone else and he seems to be a good point of reference for 'price matching' LOL!   I'm just curious to understand how he 'rolls' with the webstore? Are the items new, or are they reurns from other sellers? Do the warranties on the items hold??
