Martine Meijburg (Second Degree, DEPT) got involved with The Next Women in 2012 and is an expert when it comes to LinkedIn.
Next year, it’s your 10 year anniversary at TNW, nice! How did you get to know us?
“I joined an inspiring pitch event in Rotterdam that Simone Brummelhuis gave, the founder of TNW. At that time I had another idea for a startup, that I pitched in front of a panel that gave very valuable feedback. The same year I was attending the Web Summit in Dublin and I teamed up with my former co-worker Marcel van der Heijden. We clicked workwise and came up with the idea of a LinkedIn ..read more

“Via Marleen Basart van Bites we love kwam ik terecht bij The Next Women. Sinds kort ben ik platinum member en van plan daar veel gebruik van te maken. Ik vind het prettig dat het functioneel netwerken is, zo ben ik benieuwd naar de training op het gebied van fundraising. Er moeten meer vrouwen op hogere posities terechtkomen en ik erger me er enorm aan dat we nog stééds met e ..read more

And if you have chosen well, you get x-times your money back. It is related to either buying something or putting your money somewhere with the purpose of getting something back. Now, why would that be intere ..read more

Female network “For a long time, I didn’t want to get involved in networking that specifically focused on female business owners. Mostly because I didn’t think it was necessary to put that emphasis on gender. But a couple of years ago, I changed my mind. One of the reasons for that is that I have two young daughters now. That made me have a different outlook on the role of women in our society. Unfortunately, women still don’t have the same position in society as men. We need to support each other, and show our strength. And it’s valuable to learn from other women, share experiences, have a di ..read more
