Manchester United are making in-roads with their summer recruitment plans and their most audacious bid of the new Ineos era is progressing.
United completed their first signing of the summer in the shape of Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee at the weekend but the club’s new footballing department is already working hard on a number of other deals and central defence is an area they are paying particular attention to.
HITC understands that United’s plans include them bringing in two centre-halves. They are in talks with Bayern Munich over a deal for Dutch star Matthijs de Ligt whilst they have also ..read more

Manchester United’s end of season review was completed this week, with Erik Ten Hag maintaining his role as manager the headline news.
However, a number of other decisions were made during the process which was overseen by INEOS sporting director Sir Dave Brailsford, their sporting CEO Jean-Claude Blanc and United technical director Jason Wilcox.
Ten Hag was informed of United’s decision to retain him as manager earlier this week, but others within the club were impacted by the review – including Mason Greenwood.

Don’t let those ‘mate’-a-minute press conferences fool you. Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach is as ruthless as they come.
Ange Postecoglou may only be 12 months into his Tottenham Hotspur career – well, 12 months exactly, today the anniversary of his arrival from Celtic in 2023 – but the straight-talking Aussie has wasted no time in putting his own stamp on this Spurs squad.
In the last year, Ivan Perisic, Eric Dier, Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez, Lucas Moura, Tanguy Ndombele, Hugo Lloris have all said their goodbyes.
Ryan Sessegnon also announced his departure on Wednesday. Pierre-Emile Hojbjer ..read more

Nervy days may lie ahead for Crystal Palace this summer but, right now, the mood hanging over Selhurst Park is one of optimism.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Ebere Eze and Marc Guehi‘s future, the alleged interest in Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise‘s pesky release clause, a Palace side who ended last season so brilliantly are keen to keep the good feeling going.
HITC reported on Friday that The Eagles are in talks to reunite Oliver Glasner with his Europa League winning former Eintracht Frankfurt favourite Daichi Kamada. One of the most effective attacking midfielders in Europe on ..read more

You’d struggle to find too many Arsenal fans with a pang of sympathy in their heart for the travails of Barcelona.
A Barcelona side who raided The Gunners for Cesc Fabregas, Alex Hleb and Thierry Henry, to name but three, and knocked Arsene Wenger’s side out of the Champions League on more than one occasion.
After years of financial mismanagement, Barca are now paying the price. While Arsenal are operating from a position of almost unprecedented strength in the transfer market last summer – best epitomised by Declan Rice putting Mikel Arteta’s side at the top of his wishlist and eventually sea ..read more

With Tyrone Mings yet to recover from an ACL injury which kept him out for almost the entirety of last season, with Clement Lenglet returning to Barcelona and Aston Villa open to offers for Diego Carlos, there is room in the Midlands for a centre-half capable of playing on the left of Unai Emery’s back four.

Earlier this week, the Newcastle United and Chelsea target opened up on why his potential £30 million move to one of the biggest clubs in European football fell through almost at the last moment.
He’d travelled all the way to Germany for talks alongside his father. But, just as he was preparing to sign on the dotted line and move his belongings to Munich, one of the continent’s rising stars discovered that Bayern Munich, in the end, did not have the funds required to sign him in the first place.
Talk about being strung along.
