Are we still in this tornado? Is it over yet, or is it repeating? Just when I thought I am not going to overthink this, a new postcard arrive. And not just any kind of postcard, but the one with the Covid picture on it. Luckily is colorful so doesn’t look much scary ?How was it for you the past two years? Did you use your time to accomplish new staff? Did you continue the day as it was before? Did you hide behind closed doors? But most importantly, how are you now?Sometimes I feel like I have lost 2 years… The post From Pandemic with Love first appeared on My Postcards Story ..read more

What attracted me the most in Rita`s words is that Jiuzhaigou Valley every season has a different view and different colours ?. Isn’t it amazing? How can someone choose which season is best to visit? Ok, the best would be to go every season, but yea. We can keep dreaming ?. The other mention from Rita is that this place is a famous panda place, but she didn’t get the chance to see one. Maybe she missed the season. Word of advice Rita, you should go and visit another season as well. Additional information – It is officially known as… The post The Breathtaking Jiuzhaigou Valley first appeared on ..read more

Cow by mail

If you don’t know how to show your love to your close ones, just send them a cow. Preferably by post. Nowadays that is very easy, believe me. I loved it, but I can just say that is a postcard crime if you ever try to cut a postcard, for whatever reason. Not even an authentic Jersey cow… So my special cow will stay in pieces in my collection, luckily in one place. Additional info – The jersey cow is known for its big eyes and extremely long lashes (a dream of every girl) The internet has labelled this dairy cow… The post Cow by mail first appeared on My Postcards Story ..read more

There is a site for postcards, where I get most of the postcards from the world. It is called Postcrossing, and is a famous social network for postcards swap, blogging about postcards and everything that is related to postcards. Other interesting thing is that they are organizing meetings around the world and this postcard is from the meeting in Bielefeld. It is signed by all members of the postcard and is very touching. And believe they spent a lovely time together. Amazing how postcards can bring people closer together. The postcard shows the most famous sites in Germany. Bielefeld, where the ..read more

This postcard wasn’t sent to me by post, but actually, it was brought to me, personally by Simona. Ahh, I miss the time when she visited me and we spent such a lovely time in Macedonia. Time flies so fast. She loved our mountains and it reminded her of the ones in Romania. So this one is from Rarau massif. I love vast mountain landscapes, sometimes just looking at them (not being able to be physically present), gives me peace and relaxation. If I strongly concentrate, I can actually smell the nature on the postcard? Additional information – Rarau mountains… The post Bucovina Mea first appeared ..read more

From the northernmost part of the Sea of Japan, comes this two in one postcard. I love books, but I love postcards too, so this is the perfect postcard representing me ?I can imagine myself opening the door from the postcard and entering a whole new world full of postcards and books on old fashioned shelves and side tables full of cookies and coffee of course, like Alisa in postcardland or bookland. The smell is a mixture of old paper, coffee and freshly baked biscuits and every corner is an intimate escape from reality. Ok, let’s get back into reality… The post Books and postcards first appea ..read more

Dubai – The city of dream
My Postcards Story

Sitting on the 35th floor of a building and appreciating the sunset, the sea, the colours and still, she decides to write to me so we can enjoy together the astonishing view. I can only imagine but I believe Dana enjoyed for both. As some would say Dubai is the city of gold, I would say Dana is a friend of gold. She matched the place perfectly ? Additional information – Yes, its reach, modern, glamorous city, but I believe is more than that. Besides all that shiny, party like scenes, there are also, cultural and historical sides, vast dunes,… The post Dubai – The city of dream first appeared o ..read more

Well, you think you could just turn around the postcard and read it. That is possible when is written in the language well known to you, but writing in Indonesian requires great signature recognition skill and (luckily) google translate?. It came out quite good actually. It was a positive challenge for me and I understand what Hani wanted to say (most of it ?) because Michael wrote partly in English. Their different stories took all the place on the postcard that fortunately is one of these big postcards…the one that is “asking” for you to write as much as possible.… The post Prambanan Temple ..read more

San Pedro de Alcantara – Petrópolis
My Postcards Story

Genesio stamped so many stickers and stamps and only a few words to describe the postcard. But looking at them and at the postcard, words are needless to say anyway. It took me seconds from putting the postcard down and start searching this wonder of a building, that proudly represents the postcard. San Pedro de Alcantara Cathedral is a mystical structure as the saint himself. This gothic creature is simply recognized as the Cathedral of Petropolis, and San Pedro de Alcantara is the patron saint of the city. Additional Information – San Pedro or Peter Garavita was born in Alcantara,… The post ..read more

When Simona came to visit us, she was delighted with the beauties of Macedonia. All places, known and unknown, cities and villages made her stay as long as possible ? All sunrises and sunsets, all waters and mountains has extended her vacation for one more day, each day, so the day became week… And our friendship deepened, and we became inseparable. I still miss her, even though 7 years have passed already? After the difficult farewell, the postcards remained the thread that kept our friendship, still our eternal reminders of beautiful memories. With this postcard she wanted to brag with the… T ..read more
