As of April, 30 2023 Pontiac Zone will be under new ownership. I want to thank all members for their contribution though out past 20 years. The cost of maintaining this site has just become unaffordable for me, all advertising adds you see are free. I don’t make a dime. Off these adds. Under our sale agreement I can not disclose who the new owner is ..read more

I just picked this up from the 2nd owner who bought it when 17 back in 69 and parked it in 1977 (too many tickets lol). The bad - he covered it with a tarp and has extensive rust on hood, cowl, and the usual spots behind rear glass and above rear taillights. The good - Floors seem to be good but will have to remove all the mouse and rats nests with what they removed the stuffing from the seats and built all over the floors. Yuk. Motor and drive train is correct and original. WS block and correct carb # and air cleaner for a H.O. car. This car was ordered manual drum brakes, no ac, no ps wit ..read more

Anyone into Cowboy fast draw?

I've been interested in Cowboy fast draw for a while now and finally decided to give it a try. I have a single action 1872 Colt .45 Italian made replica. Got a holster for Christmas. Been practicing with it and got my draw, cocking, and firing down to .2-.3 seconds. That's not shooting ammo though. This gives the wax bullet a speed around 800 FPS. You shoot a target 15 feet away. There is a light in the center of the ..read more

Speedmaster head flow numbers
Pontiac Zone Forums

I have a customer that bought a set of Speedmaster heads and had me look at them and flow one. The overall casting was clean with no porosity to be seen. Can't comment on valve quality as they are a no name from what I can tell(didn't recognize the part number). Intake valve job was done with a contoured radius cutter. The exhaust was done with a standard 3 angle valve job. The intake seats were cut a little deep to get the full contour of the cutter cut into the head. The exhaust seat was cut too shallow. Because of that, the exhaust valve stem height was about .050" shorter than the intake s ..read more
