Next week, a new book by two journalists from Munich's Sueddeutsche Zeitung will come out, called "The Olygarch" and you can guess who is the figure that inspired the title's word play. And I had a lot of fun putting these collages together (with some help from Mr Bernham... thanks mate, and hope you don't mind I've tweaked them a bit!   Whakindda sport competition is that?  "Fake' INDOOR "rowing" championship's"?  Never hoid!!  Prague puts on a show at the Versa World Rowing Indoor Championships (insidethegames.biz)   Until you learn they're using the mechanized rowing-fitness machines!!  I suppose it qualifies -- but that could solve LA28's problem of having the 1500m course!  Put all the rowers in machines and you could get the same competition even W/O the wind factor!!   ..read more

We’re all getting used to the new way, or the New Norm way that Olympic Hosts are selected. The first Summer Games Host election under New Norm occurred on 21 July 2021 in Tokyo with Brisbane 2032. The first Winter Games Host selection and election under New Norm is expected sometime in 2022 or 2023, as a guess.
