The time has come for us to put Chancelot, our 1982 Vagabond 42 sailboat, up for sale. We have absolutely loved living and sailing aboard her, but our family needs a little more space. We are about to spend our 7th (!) Christmas aboard – where has the time gone? If there is one thing I have learned about spending the holidays aboard it is that you don’t have to give up your traditions, you just have to make them boat-size. Traveling has always been a big part of our family. We love to explore far off lands and having a baby didn’t stop our wanderlust (Hello, we spent my maternity leave in Italy!). Soaking in the last bit of sun before all visual entertainment is gone and we only have our audiobooks to keep us entertained Our boat is crewed by two adults which means we have to switch on and off between the two of us during night watches. Yes, we have technology to help (THANK YOU AUTOPILOT), but three hours on and three hours off can be hard to get through.
