I just bought a 3 inch electric blue jack Dempsey. I understand mortality rates are high, but I’m wondering if it does live would a 75 gallon aquarium work for him? And could I have any tank mates other than some dither fish? I’ve heard anywhere from 50 to 100 gallons is best for them, but I’m having a hard time finding a consensus online. What do you guys think?

He's about 5 inches. I feed him 6 medium hikari gold pellets a day, 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening. A few times a week he gets frozen food or peas for his evening meal. I know they will beg for food but my last parrot fish was never like this. Is he just a greedy boy?

Hey everyone. I have a 135 gallon tank. 72” L x 18” W x 24” H
Here’s the fish I want to keep:
1x Tiger Oscar 1x Gold Saum 1x green Texas
Can I see anything else? All 3 of these fish are approx 3- 6 inches when added.
I’ve heard so many mixed opinions and don’t really know what to think anymore. People saying those 3 will be fine.. others saying the green Texas will kill the Oscar…
Right now none of those fish bother each other, but they’re young.
