The main event in the NFL Draft world Wednesday is the USC Trojans' pro day workout, where presumed No. 1 pick Caleb Williams will show off his talents for the Chicago Bears and 31 teams that will never get the chance to pick him.
The Bears sent a full contingent to the workout, including general manager Ryan Poles, and even newly acquired wide receiver Keenan Allen, who arrived recently via trade from the Los Angeles Chargers.

Even at this point in the NFL draft process, it's not uncommon to see a few surprises among the big-name analysts when it comes to their mock draft predictions.
But the latest 2024 NFL mock draft from legendary draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. at ESPN has a name you probably haven't seen in any first-round mock draft this entire cycle.

The San Francisco 49ers are losing a pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and seeing one of their fourth-round picks in the 2024 NFL draft drop a few slots due to accounting errors, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The punishment comes as a result of administrative mistakes at the end of the 2022 season, per Pelissero.
The 49ers will lose their fifth-round pick in the 2025 draft, while their fourth-round pick in the 2024 draft will now move to the end of the round, behind all of the compensatory selections.

The Chicago Bears are trading quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers, per multiple reports.
It's a conditional sixth-round draft pick in the 2025 NFL draft going back to Chicago in the deal, which can become a fourth-round pick based on certain conditions, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
In order for the pick to become a fourth-rounder, Fields would have to play at least 51 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps in 2024, per Schefter.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are trading quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles, per multiple reports.
The No. 20 pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, Pickett has struggled with injuries and inconsistency over his first two seasons in the league, and with the signing of Russell Wilson, it's clear he'll be the starter as Pickett is shipped to Philly.

The Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans agreed to a blockbuster trade Friday that could have a significant impact on the early rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Minnesota is adding another first-round pick in this year's draft as part of the deal, acquiring the No. 23 pick that Houston originally received from the Cleveland Browns in the Deshaun Watson trade.
