This is the 124th in a series of games based on a common theme. It could be genre, instrumentation, key signature, time period, style, country, groupings such as Scriabin's Piano Sonatas, etc. Here's how it works: 1. First voter selects the common theme and a work that fits reasonably into the theme. 2. Second voter also selects a work that fits into the common theme. 3. We keep submitting works until we have collected 20 of them. 4. The game begins. Selection Rules: 1. You may vote once... A Common Theme Among 20 Works (Game 124 ..read more

I must admit that I had no clue about these shocking comments up until I purchased a book 2 weeks ago on Amazon called 'The Home We Build Together' written by the former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom, Lord Jonathan Sacks. In the book by way of making a point, Lord Sacks brought down a quote by the German composer Karlheinz... Stockhousen's Horrific comments about 9/11 ..read more

No AI this time around; (Well, except for the image I used) Although it’s not strictly “Classical,” I wanted to share this simple piece that incorporates orchestral elements. I’m hoping some of you might find it interesting or have feedback to offer. The core goal of this piece is about telling a story through music. It follows the journey of a boy who has long suspected that he might be able to breathe underwater, but his fear has always held him... The Boy Who Breathed Water ..read more
