1. Do I have a clear conflict?
2. Does my main character have a character arc? Are my characters compelling? (Not sure how possible this is in a short)
3. How is my dialogue?
4. Is the concept interesting in your opinion?
Thank you for taking the time to read through and give me feedback ..read more

I've written and created one short film in 2018 - since then life and work have got in the way(became a teacher during the pandemic so lots of my free time was taken up but looking to use my time better). I am trying to get back on track pursuing this dream as its a new year but my questions to you are the following:
What would you say are the best next steps? I've written a few short films /first drafts of pilots but recently polished a draft up and submitted to Thousand Films ( a competition that is running as I speak) , this year I'd like to write a pilot and a feature too but have no idea ..read more

Hey there,
I'm currently diving into the world of comedy murder mysteries for my first draft. There's a whole bunch of these floating around, but man, this one's been a tough nut to crack for me. It's been a year-long journey, and I'm hitting more walls than ever.
A bit about my background - I've got three comedy films under my belt as a writer and director, and I've kind of gotten the hang of this whole screenplay thing. But mysteries? That's a whole new ball game for me. I'm typically a "pantser" kind of writer, and let's just say that approach isn't exactly meshing well with the intricaci ..read more

Thanks in advance for your help ..read more

So I feel pretty pleased with this first draft I wrote, I think the storyline is interesting.
LOGLINE: When a young man sees his mother killed by a member of the notorious Roundtable, he will stop at nothing to pursue revenge, even if it means using his newfound associates to get there by any means necessary.
Would appreciate feedback on the following:
Do I have a clear beginning, middle and end?
Is it clear who's story this is?
Are the stakes established clearly in the story?
Is there a satisfy ..read more

Hey fellow movie buffs and film enthusiasts! I need your help in dissecting the intriguing opening sequence of "Shutter Island." Let's unravel the mysteries and symbolism woven into those first few minutes.
Setting the Tone:
The opening immediately establishes a sense of foreboding with the eerie music and the isolated island surrounded by turbulent waters. What does this suggest about the film's atmosphere?
Teddy Daniels:
Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Teddy, is introduced as he vomits on the boat. This is a visceral introduction. What does this tell us about his character and the journey ..read more

Never in my life have I written a script or even practice writing one, but very soon I'm going to start my 1st screenplay for a short film titled ''Foresight''. here's the log line:
After a childhood tragedy, a boy acquires foresight, enabling him to prevent future accidents, but did he?
It may or maynot be a perfect logline but In my opinion it serves the purpose of a logline: it breifs the audience about the story. I desperately made it to be simple and not reveal anything "Important" but I found out that It's not that compelling logline to attract the masses, so I need someone to help me ..read more
